Staying at The Surf
We’d love for as many guests as possible to stay on-site — it makes the weekend simple, walkable, and fun.
We have a room block reserved at Surf Chateau and Surf House.

Traveling by Plane
Buena Vista is nestled in the heart of the Rockies, and there are several airport options depending on your plans, budget, and sense of adventure.
Gunnison Regional Airport (GUC) – 1.5 hours away
A scenic drive through mountain valleys and one of the closest airports to Buena Vista.
Colorado Springs Airport (COS) – 2 hours away
A smaller, easy-to-navigate airport that’s a great alternative to Denver.
Denver International Airport (DEN) – 2.5 hours away
The largest airport in the region, with the widest selection of flights and rental car options.
Driving to Buena Vista
You can find The Surf Hotel in Buena Vista’s South Main neighborhood — a riverside district surrounded by trails, shops, and mountain views.
If you’re driving, expect a beautiful, winding mountain route no matter which direction you’re coming from. The roads are well maintained, but plan for slower travel times if you’re not familiar with driving in the mountains and soak in the scenery along the way.

Parking
All public parking in Buena Vista’s South Main neighborhood is free of charge.
There is plenty of street parking available along nearby streets and in several dirt lots adjacent to The Surf Hotel.
We don’t want travel costs to be the reason you can’t join us.…
